—Conflict or Peace— In this rare Fireside Chat, Pastor Rob McCoy from Calvary Chapel, Chino Hills, joins Dennis Prager to discuss why his church took a stand against the Covid shutdown, even under difficult odds. Prager asks the pastor why there were so few (churches and synagogues) that did what he did. Pastor Rob’s reply, “Pastors by nature try to avoid conflict and they’re peace makers. They don’t understand that peace isn’t the absence of conflict; it’s the presence of God in the midst of the conflict. They are the ones who put forth to society what liberty is. There will be conflicting ideologies but we’re to stand our ground— there will be personal peace in the midst of that battle. Scripture is all about freedom and liberty.” Now, 3 years later, it’s a good time to be reminded of who we are and our country for which we stand.
