—First Love— Pastor Gary Hamrick, Cornerstone Chapel, VA, begins this important message by comparing the church in Ephesus at its founding to 35 years later. In Revelation 2:4, Jesus says of the church of Ephesus, “You have left your first love.” Pastor Hamrick points out, “In only one generation, the Ephesian church went from a faithful church to a faithless church-- from a commended church to a condemned church. This is true for our Church today as well as our country— we can lose what is valuable, important and sacred.” The election of 2024 will have profound consequences— we must select the candidate that will most closely reflect our Biblical values and worldview. Pastor Hamrick asks, “If we remain silent, what will the next 35 years look like? Or will we be silent because we have left our first love?”
