Pastor John Henry Jowett (1863-1923) wrote from time to time for newspapers a daily column of personal faith, and those who heard him preach were forever impressed with the majesty of the Gospel. To put in a few words… “Reconciliation in Christ” was the keynote of his gospel. He pastored the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in New York City from 1911 to 1917. This book of “gems and jewels of a great heart” was first published in 1914, was reprinted in 1992 and has been cherished by thousands. (Earl G. Lee, First Church of the Nazarene, Pasadena, CA) It is out of print but copies can still be found in bookstores online (it’s a little pricy but well worth it!).
