—Bible Instruction Is In the Schools— Joel Penton, founder and CEO of LifeWise Academy spoke to Fox News Digital about how his organization is providing Bible instruction for public school students during school hours. It is possible because of a 1952 Supreme Court ruling that public school students can be released from public school during school hours to receive religious education provided it is off school property, it is privately funded and students have parental permission. LifeWise has been operating since 2019 and are preparing to serve more than 300 schools across 12 states this year. People in communities are stepping up, raising funds and volunteering— “It’s really a special thing to see such a vibrant movement,” Penton says.
